My goal is to create artworks that inspire and intrigue the viewer, where new details and layers are discovered the more you look.

 

I am self-taught and began painting in 2015, experimenting with abstraction and expressionism. I paint intuitively and fearlessly, using my feelings to create colorful, abstract, expressionist art. I work in layers, build, break down, and rebuild the painting numerous times using brushes, palette knives, sponges, pens, and crayons to create depth and details. My works are results of artistic struggles and frustration, and I have the courage to let go of initial ideas, kill darlings and trust my gut. I never know where a painting will take me but I love the process and watching it unfold. 

 

I live in the Bay Area, California, with my family. I have a master's degree and work as a communications consultant.
